What is an Application Programming Interface (API)?
An application programming interface is a set of definitions, communication protocols and tools that allow developers to easily build applications that use information from other sources. Under PSD2 and Open Banking, banks are required to provide access to consumer banking data, typically through developing open APIs for AIS and PIS. This way, Fintechs and other third-party providers can more easily connect and create services for consumers - and innovate the financial industry as a whole.
The YTS API connects to those banking APIs. We provide a single, unified API, allowing our clients to offer both AIS and PIS without having to create, manage and maintain the connections to the various banking APIs themselves
